Unique, innovative, and multifunctional: the measuring units Digalox® DPM72-MP+ and DPM72-MPN+ are characterised by extensive functions and configurability. A variety of measurement modes (volt AC/DC, ampere AC/DC, frequency, power, cos phi) are supported. Individual configuration of the devices and real-time transmission of all measured values ​​are ensured by the respective interface, either via the Modbus RS-485 industrial standard or via an XBEE 2.4 GHz radio connection. This allows the DPM72 measuring devices to be used in a wide range of industrial applications. The multifunctional measuring devices are particularly in demand in the area of remote monitoring of machine and operating data and for modernizing outdated systems, as they are especially suitable for retrofitting. Using the XBEE-network-measuring-instruments, especially in large industrial plants with various machines to be linked, laborious installation of wiring becomes redundant. This is also a bonus for occupational safety, as no cables are left lying around. Additionally, the measuring devices can be attached to DIN rails as well as to other backgrounds through corresponding boreholes in the housing.

Extensive adaptability via software

Using the "Digalox® Manager" configuration software, the measuring devices can be set up individually. By connecting a norm signal sensor the physical measured value is converted into the desired unit and transmitted as a practical floating point number. Once set up, the DPM72 will transmit your measuring data reliably and in real time - in case of the XBEE-devices even without the laborious installation of wiring.

Switching outputs

As individually adjustable threshold values ​​are reached, two galvanically isolated alarm outputs enable the device to trigger an alarm as well as to perform switch-on or switch-off operations.

Radio data-transmission 2.4 GHz mesh network

Because of the XBEE radio interface the DPM72 measuring instruments are universally applicable. The measured values will be transmitted wirelessly up to five times per second. The mesh network offers a robust connection that ensures continued operation even in case of individual radio nodes failure. This enables a hassle-free system modernization without the need for complex cable-pulling.

RS485 Modbus interface

The RS485 Modbus interface of the DPM72 measuring devices ensures both configuration and transmission of all measured values. The RS485 Modbus protocol corresponds to the established industrial standard, which means that the DPM72 measuring devices with Modbus interface can be universally combined with existing Modbus devices from other manufacturers. Above all, this enables older or technically obsolete machines to be modernised easily (retrofitting) without having to replace them, which can be expensive and time-consuming.
