Remote measuring instruments for analogue signal 0/2 - 10 V and/or 0/4 - 20 mA with wireless data transmission
Unique, innovative, and multifunctional: the measuring units Digalox® DPM72-MPP, -MPPV and -MPPA with 2.4 GHz XBEE radio interface are characterised by extensive functions and configurability. Depending on the type, the measurement modes analogue signal 0/2 to 10 V and 0/4 to 20 mA DC (MPP), 2 x 0/2 to 10 V (MPPV) and 2 x 0/4 to 20 mA DC (MPPA) are supported. The individual device configuration and the real-time transmission of all measured values are provided via the respective interface, either through the Modbus RS-485 industry standard or via the XBee 2.4 GHz wireless connection. The DPM72 measuring instruments are therefore highly versatile and suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. These multifunctional devices are particularly well suited for the remote monitoring of machine and process data as well as for modernizing legacy equipment, thanks to their excellent retrofit capabilities. When using the XBEE interface, complex cable installation can even be eliminated entirely. This is especially beneficial when deploying DPM72 wireless remote measuring units in large production halls with multiple machines to be networked, while also improving workplace safety by eliminating loose cables. In addition, the measuring instruments can be mounted both on DIN rails and, thanks to dedicated mounting holes in the housing, on other suitable surfaces.
Extensive adaptability via software
Using the "Digalox® Manager" configuration software, the measuring devices can be set up individually. By connecting a norm signal sensor the physical measured value is converted into the desired unit and transmitted as a practical floating point number. Once set up, the DPM72 will transmit your measuring data reliably and in real time - without the laborious installation of wiring.
Switching outputs
As individually adjustable threshold values are reached, two galvanically isolated alarm outputs enable the device to trigger an alarm as well as to perform switch-on or switch-off operations.
Radio data transmission 2.4 GHz mesh network
Because of the XBEE radio interface the DPM72 measuring instruments are universally applicable. The measured values will be transmitted up to five times per second. The mesh network offers a robust connection that ensures continued operation even in case of individual radio nodes failure. Above all, this enables older or technically obsolete machines to be modernised easily (retrofitting) without having to replace them, which can be expensive and time-consuming.
RS485/Modbus interface
The RS485 Modbus interface of the DPM72 measuring devices ensures both configuration and transmission of all measured values. The RS485 Modbus protocol corresponds to the established industrial standard, which means that the DPM72 measuring devices with Modbus interface can be universally combined with existing Modbus devices from other manufacturers. Above all, this enables older or technically obsolete machines to be modernised easily (retrofitting) without having to replace them, which can be expensive and time-consuming.
